Studio Work

Got to try out in the studio today, had a go with the lights, used a honeycomb grid to make the light slightly softer than just having a bare light hitting the ball i feel that the short time of the lesson we had in the studio was very useful and i would like to do more in the studio in the future, for this lesson i had to use a borrowed camera, as my one ran out of battery without me realising.

Here's some of the studio work i did today..

1. Probably my favourite shot of the day, i like how i've lighted it and i like the texture on the ball and how i've caught it at a nice angle

2. Not to pleased with this one, its a little to dark and its to dark on the right side, had it been a tad brighter this could have been my favourite one.

3. Far to bright on this one, i think i set the shutter speed a little to fast, it didnt get any of the shadow on it and i may have even set the flash a little to bright aswel.

4. Decided to do a shot from directly above, i quite like this one, i think i could have improved it if i had light from both sides rather than just the one side, could have even done the 45/45 lighting to make it look better. In the future i wont just use the one lamp as the shadow it gives off is fairly harsh.
